Fujinon, Canon, Nikon. Pick the one you like. I know (and you'll hear from here) advocates of each, and have tried them all out. I'm kind of a a Fujinon man myself; use their top of the line 7x50 non-stabilized, wonderful piece of equipment. If I get a stab'd binoc someday, I'd go with them purely out of brand loyalty... plus both the "Juniors" and more expensive ones I have used are really nice.

Fujinon. The cheaper ones only seem to cancel out hand shake. Not the movement of a boat on the water.

I have the Canon 18 x 50 IS All Weather. Their stabilization is remarkable even on a rocking vessel.

I have both Canon (about 10 years old now) and Fujinon (3 years old) stabilized binocs aboard Hot Tomolly. I like them both, with a slight advantage to the Canons for ease of use, less complicated to set up, etc.

The best of the best are the Fraser-Volpe Stedi-Eye 14x40. They supply the military and have a model they do sell on the retail market. They are waterproof, they float and very expensive. I've had the opportunity to use a pair and their performance is superb.

Some RO will be sure to ask just how expensive are they. $5,000.00 yes, five grand! They are the best of the best.

My Canon 18x50 stabilized binocs came today. Seem to work pretty well. Funny not to have lens covers for the front. I think I will find them useful.
