I've been narrowing down my search, most suitable for our needs looking like Boston Whaler 15 Dauntless. However, have run across an Edgewater 155C that looks very nice. Anyone know these boats? Looks like it is substantially heavier than the Boston. About a foot beamier, and 2" greater draft. Any input appreciated as always!

I think they are great boats. As well or better built than a Whaler.

I found one of those for a client of mine to tow behind his Marlow. I got to use it for month or so in the Bahamas and down into the BVIs on a delivery with him. It's a great boat with a nice ride for a 15 footer.

Towed well too.

Good, top shelf, quality boat. Designed by the chief designer for Whaler for many years and built by his son. They have a patented construction system that is first rate and eliminates the possibility of voids between the foam and the skin coats. Just for fun check out the Edgewater 35', the 205EX is pretty sweet also.

Thanks.

Except for that fender hanging over the side. I should have done more flogging of the mates on that trip I guess. :-)

Old guys like me might find it difficult to relinquish our nostalgic fondness for all things Whaler.
